It quite simply does not work
The original version (before Yosemite) was an interesting app and it did exactly what it said. Useful in a limited way but still worth the purchase price. Sadly, it does not work onany computer that has Yosemite or later and instead we are offered this new, improved version. It is neither and - because one simple fact in that it does not work - actually now not worth a look. I created a timeline but all events were loged as the exact same date - today’s. It kept on telling me that my timeline conflicted with a version on my desktop - fascinating, as I do not have the app on that desktop nor have I ever created a timeline on that machine. Download ad blocker for mac for free. It keeps on dropping events entered. So, a less intuitive interface, a hugely unrealiable app and a failure do to the one job it claims to do does mean that I wouldn’t really bother with it.
A “timeline' with no line
I have no idea what users are supposed to do with this. Timelines are—as the name indicates—presented on a line. Can you do this? Nope. It might be good for showing pictures of your visit to the zoo in a chronological fashion (as the developers apparently do in their screenshots), but I can’t see anyone (especially educators or historians [the kind of people who use timelines]) finding much use for this app. There are better, free, apps that can do this.
Pages for os x 10.9. If you’re using a Mac laptop or desktop from the last five years or so, you should be able to download OS X Mavericks for free just by visiting the Mac App Store. Apple has released OS X 10.9 Mavericks, and somewhat surprisingly it is a free upgrade for all existing OS X users. Some exclusions and caveats do apply, though, so read on for more information.

I like this Application
I’ve been using Timeline for a few years now and it is a really good application. Many of the things I have been hoping for have now been included in this latest update.

For time-related presentations (history, processes, linked events and much more) this application is perfect.
I’m looking forward to making use of this new version of Timeline and I would recommend it to anyone who woulk like to liven up their presentations.
